As characters remain here longer than they wish to it becomes apparent that finding a job is necessary to get by. Characters that do not wish to stay in the free inn and eat free meals are encouraged to find their own housing, however rent must be paid - so in that case employment is not optional.

Characters are free to start their own business, take over for an abandoned company or continue working as they would have in their world's canon. Please keep in mind that eventually the military will have a surplus of employees, don't be afraid to get creative with your character's employment choice!

Generic names are in use until multiples of a single business develop, or players name their locations:

Bakery: Run by

edlynn a female Ed Elric and

camewithaprice Lust. This bakery is open for pick ups and order deliveries, there's currently no place for 'dine in' eating.

Bar: NPC run, current employees include a blind sex-swapped Roy

notmyboobs, straight from the Promised Day.

Bookstore: This bookstore is run by

faithlost a female Ed Elric ( who will never give her full name ) and

awillingslave Roy Mustang. These two are from a Loveless influenced AU based on another AU - so this Ed can be seen with golden cat ears and tail despite her FMA canon upbringing. The door's not always open in accordance with the hours posted outside and customers may sometimes walk in on something they don't expect to - just to make things more interesting for anyone in the player base that might want to use that in a post.

They do have a very nice selection and business is decent enough to afford the apartment above the small shop.

Cafe: Among the various cafes and diners around Fake Central there is one in particular that employs at least one version of Edward Elric with a foul temper and no manners. It's unclear whether he dislikes Roys and those in a Roy's company or simply lacks any manner of customer service. Either way this place earned a spot on the map for the reputation. NPC owned and run.

Devil's Nest: This is a bar with rooming available upstairs opened by

minionsget years ago. Current known employees:

oedipuscomplex, a complete AU Edward Elric.

Upscale Restaurant: Basically what is says on the tin. The head waiter is a version of Jean Havoc that - like most Havocs - will flirt with anything that walks.

Vampire Bar: A bar originally run by

nearerthesun for vampires looking for an alternate food source to human blood. The blood here is crafted with human blood but not nearly as tasty, although it is free for anyone interested. Currently run by:

makethisreal, a homunculus Edward Elric.

Xingese Restaurant: An abandoned Xingese Restaurant that was taken over by

faithlesselric a Loveless AU Edward Elric and Roy Mustang

mustang_r couple after arriving in Fake Central.

The Zoo: Although not a business in itself, the zoo is a small apartment nicknamed that by how many residents were crammed into the small space - located over another book store. This bookstore is currently NPC run.
